Consider the World Chalice deck from Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel

Hi, I'm yuduki.

The contents of the first World Chalice deck you get in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel have been revealed, so I'd like to try it out and reveal how to spin it.

Flavor Text of Deck Description

A deck that allows you to experience the basic strategy of Star Cup. Use Ib the World Chalice Priestess, which can be Link Summoned from a normal monster, as a starting point to connect to powerful Link Monsters. Use effects such as ingirsu the World Chalice Warrior and Nobleman of Crossout when dealing with defensive monsters.

Consider the World Chalice deck from Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel

Harpie's Feather Duster has been banned in TCG, so another card has been substituted.

Let me start with my impressions of it.

On first play, the synergy of the graveyard effect is not clear and difficult. I also found the deck difficult to use as there are few cards that can give you an advantage.

The first thing you can see when you look around the deck is that if you can't make Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior, you don't have any power, but if you play Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior first, you won't be able to summon any more Link Summons because the only Link Marker is the top one.

Ib the World Chalice Priestesses, which give resistance to the link, have left and right link markers, so it is best to put Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior next to them, but the procedure to do so is quite complicated.

Route A

This is the easiest route to play as it does not require One-Time Passcode or Unexpected Dai.

Summon 1 Normal Monster -> Link Summon -> Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon -> Summon once more by the effect of Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon -> Summon Lee the World Chalice Fairy (adds World Chalice Guardragon to your hand).

Link Summons World Chalice Priestes with World Chalice Dragon and World Chalice Fairy, Special Summons World Chalice Dragon from hand.

Then, Ib the World Chalice Priestess and World Chalice Guardragon link summon Auram the World Chalice.

Link Summons Auram the World Chalice Blademaster with Ib the World Chalice Priestes and World Chalice Guardragon.

Using the Graveyard effect of Ib the World Chalice Priestes, summons a monster from his hand to link to Auram the World Chalice Blademaster. Special Summon World Chalice Priestes from the Graveyard using the monster as a cost by Auram the World Chalice Blademaster's effect.

Select and use World Chalice Guardragon from the Graveyard to Special Summon a Normal Monster from the Graveyard. Link Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon with that Normal Monster.

Link Summon Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior with Imduk the World Chalice Dragon and Auram the World Chalice Blademaster.

Route B

Lee the World Chalice Fairy and World Chalice Guardragon can be searched afterwards.

Special Summon with Unexpected Dai.

Link Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon, Summon Lee the World Chalice Fairy (World Legacy - "World Chalice" is searched)

Releases Lee the World Chalice Fairy and summons World Legacy - "World Chalice".

Link Summons Ib the World Chalice Priestes with Imduk the World Chalice Dragon and World Legacy - "World Chalice".

World Legacy - Using the Graveyard Effect of "World Chalice", searches for World Chalice Guardragon and Normal Monsters and Special Summons them.

Link Summons Auram the World Chalice Blademaster with Ib the World Chalice Priestes and World Chalice Guardragon.

Special Summons Ib the World Chalice Priestes from the Graveyard using a normal monster as a cost.

Selects and uses a World Chalice Guardragon from the Graveyard and Special Summons a Normal Monster from the Graveyard. Link Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon with that Normal Monster.

Link Summon Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior with Imduk the World Chalice Dragon and Auram the World Chalice Blademaster.

Other things Yuduki has noticed

This deck is complex, and there are many other things to consider.

In situations where there is a One-Time Passcode, you can Link Summon Auram the World Chalice Blademaster first, and then use the effect of Auram the World Chalice Blademaster to Special Summon Imduk the World Chalice Dragon. By Special Summoning Imduk the World Chalice Dragon from the Graveyard, you can reduce the number of Imduk the World Chalice Dragons you need to use from your Extra Deck to 1

When you draw World Legacy's Heart and you have a lot of cards in your hand, you can Link Summon Auram the World Chalice Blademaster2 with Auram the World Chalice Blademaster and something else. The effect of Auram the World Chalice Blademaster2 will Special Summon Auram the World Chalice Blademaster from the Graveyard. It is important to remember that this allows you to line up two Auram the World Chalice Blademasters.

Auram the World Chalice Blademaster
AttributeFIRE
Link2
Monster TypeCyberse
Card Type Link/Effect
ATK2000
DEF-
Card Text
2 "World Chalice" monsters
Gains 300 ATK for each "World Legacy" monster in your GY with a different name. You can Tribute 1 "World Chalice" monster this card points to, then target 1 other monster in your GY; Special Summon it to your zone this card points to. You can only use this effect of "Auram the World Chalice Blademaster" once per turn. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster from your hand.

This deck is probably the most complex and difficult deck you can choose at the start.

Even though the name of the deck is "Departure", the difficulty level is not suitable for beginners at all lol

Still, let me tell you the advantage of using this deck even if you have to work hard for it.

That's because it's the only deck from the start of Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel that has a track record of success in Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution ranked games.

Lee the World Chalice Fairy is so strong that it is a favorite of some of the more advanced players.

There is no guarantee that the starting deck you didn't choose will be readily available later on, and since World Chalice is related to Mekk-Knight, Orcust and Knightmare, there is a chance that you will get those cards in the story, and for the purpose of memorizing how to deploy World Chalice If you want to be the best duelist, you should choose this deck, even if you want to memorize how to play World Chalice.

At the end.

On a side note, it's really interesting that there are three Nobleman of Crossout in this deck. This is probably a storyline to play against Krawler, which has a reverse effect. If you take them out because they're in the way, you'll probably have a hard time with Krawler Spine!
