Beginning Standard

There are various limit regulations in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, and today I'd like to introduce you to the Beginning Standard deck that dominated the game in the past.

Beginning Standard

About the deck contents

In the past, there were not many effective themes, so the emphasis was on building decks based on the strength of a single card. And the Beginning Standard was created with the power card Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning as a trump card.

Thousand-Eyes Restric is played with Metamorphosis from Scapegoat, but now Metamorphosis is banned, so Instant Fusion is used instead. Pot of Greed is now banned, so I'm using Pot of Extravagance instead, and Heavy Storm is now banned, so I'm using Lightning Storm instead.

It is worth noting that Tsukuyomi is a great way to put Thousand-Eyes Restrict and Magician of Faith into reverse to use their powerful effects over and over again.

Exarion Universe was used because it is a high status monster and can deal damage through Scapegoat and reverse effect monsters.

It was effective in blocking Blade Knight's reverse effect and defeating opposing monsters, and the fact that Nobleman of Crossout was a restricted card is evidence that low-status reverse effect monsters were rampant at the time.

Monarch is in the deck because of its advantage and high status, and in this era when Jinzo was a restricted card, a card that could compete with it was valuable.

Note the inclusion of two Creature Swap cards. The idea is to isolate your opponent's powerful monster and swap it for a weaker one.

The combo of Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 and Royal Decree tried to interfere with this by not allowing magic cards to be activated.

This deck tries to counter Horus by removing it with D.D. Warrior Lady and Night Assailant, and withstanding it with Marshmallon and Spirit Reaper.

At the end.

This deck is not useful in ranked games because of its low ability to gain advantage, but it can still be used in practice games against the computer. How about playing it once in a while to reminisce about the old days?
