MATE and Gacha

Headline image of this article

It seems that the latest information that was being buzzed about coming out today was a SHOP information video.

Now, outside of the official version, a couple of live streamers have uploaded videos using the same content, but I'd like to explain it while watching the live streamer's video, which has a larger screen and is easier to see.

Watching and explaining the Portuguese broadcast

Considerations for MATE

The digital figure of Dark Magician in the video is called MATE, and it's an accessory to be placed on the Duel screen. If the Japanese PV is correct, the 10-round gacha is 1000 gems and the Dark Magician MATE is 300 gems, so this is something everyone can buy without much trouble.

If you're a yugi deck, you'll definitely want Dark Magician, but I don't know if you'll use it all the time, since Dark Magician Girl will probably come out later. Half the people will cheat on it LOL

Yuduki is going to use Cyber Dragon Infinity's MATE; I'm often indebted to Cyber Dragon Infinity and Infinite Impermanence a lot, and I like them because they match my playstyle the best these days.

If MATE doesn't have any special effects that affect Duel, then I guess I'll be using my favorite monsters.

If you want to tell your opponent about your deck before the Duel, you may want to use MATE as a bluff, or you may want to hide it if you want to save drawing due to PC spec issues. If you want to save game rendering due to PC spec issues, you can choose to hide it.

Considerations for Gacha

The main feature I'm interested in in the gacha is Borrelsword Dragon.

Borrelsword Dragon

Link4
Monster TypeDragon
Card Type Link/Effect
ATK3000
DEF-
Card Text
3+ Effect Monsters
Cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Attack Position monster; change it to Defense Position, also, this card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation. Once per turn, when this card declares an attack on a face-up monster: You can activate this effect; until the end of this turn, this card gains ATK equal to half that monster's current ATK, and if it does, that monster's current ATK is halved.

It's a card with a very aggressive effect, and since it's a link monster, it can be played from any deck, and it can suck out the attack power of your opponent's monster and put the monster on defense. This is sure to be one of the strongest monsters in the early days.

Since the deck is not very cohesive at the beginning, I think Pot of Desires is as easy and useful to use as Pot of Greed.

Eldlich the Golden Lord and Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen are powerful cards that have not been implemented in Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, but they are not very versatile, so you need to collect a lot of cards to build a Horde deck.

There's also going to be Sky Striker Ace - Raye and Witchcrafter Golem Aruru, though, so collecting them will be fun.

There was another pack that featured a super rare Odd-Eyes fusion monster, but I was a little disappointed that there was no Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon.

Neither Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon nor Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon were used in Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution's ranked games, for the most part. For fans, 500 gems is a good price.

At the end.

Will the next big information come out in V-Jump, which goes on sale in Japan on the 21st? I'm looking forward to it!
